Healing Projects Hurricane Harvey Relief Team

What a week!  We have had folks stopping by our new Healing Projects headquarters in Kentucky to drop off donations for flood and hurricane victims in Texas every day!  Packing, sorting, loading….all with GREAT love.  Our small team then immediately headed to Orange County, TX, one of the hardest hit areas with over 52 inches of rain and flooding that was still trapping some families in their homes a week later.  The exhausted, sunburned, but selfless crew we met up with at the First Baptist Church of Orangefield, with our friend Pastor Cody Hogden, stayed late until our arrival to very quickly unpack the load and lock it up for the night before the county curfew.  This team is INCREDIBLE, working hard all day to pass out whatever donations come in to the folks in the community who make their way in for help.

An especially BIG thank you to the community of Paducah, Kentucky, the home base of Healing Projects, for the unbelievable outpouring of love, support, donations, volunteer hours, and just sheer compassion all week long to reach across the South to our Texas “neighbors”.  We love you guys.  You make every project we take on not only possible, but knock it out of the park…well beyond what we could ever imagine.  God bless each one of you and please stay involved!  We need YOU!
